RESEARCH AXIS

As a researcher, his doctoral thesis provides an original conceptual framework and taxonomic study of the interactive documentary and the interactive forms of nonfiction in general ("The interactive documentary as a new audiovisual genre. Approach to proposed definition and taxonomy and analysis model for the evaluation, design and production", UPF 2007-2012).

He has published several articles and presented papers and activities on this topic in different national and international conferences, including the first symposium on interactive documentary ("i-Docs Symposium", Bristol 2011). He is research affiliate at MIT Open Documentary Lab, member of the i-Docs Group, the first research group and international conference dedicated to interactive documentary study (2011-2012), and collaborator of the "Somos Documentales" project from RTVE.ES (Spanish TV).

TRAINING AXIS

As a teacher, he has helped to start - as a consultant and teacher -  the first line of interactive documentary for the Masters Degree in Creative Documentary at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2011). He has also taught the first seminars of analysis of this genre ("La Casa del Cine", 2009-2012).

He has supervised several projects - theoretical and prototypes - of this nature during his six years leading the direction of project management of the Audiovisual Communication Degree at theUniversitat de Vic (Multimedia Specialty).

PRODUCTION AXIS

He coordinates InterDocs Barcelona, the first conference and exhibition on the interactive documentary in the latin area.

He is also the director of the observatory platform InterDOC (2011). This project combines the three areas described: research through the observatory, incentive the production and is a tool to complement didactic lectures and presentations.

As a producer, he is a pioneer in Spain and Catalonia in the production of this type of format from the point of view of education and training (Universitat de Vic, 2007-2012). He has supervised several interactive documentaries in its first phase (PFC UVic) such as "En un xip multicolor" and has directed and co-directed several of these projects (current phase) such as "Societat 2.0", "Metamentaldoc Multimedia" and "Sparklyng (Big Visit)", among others. He works as a consultant for several project, such as "Las Sin sombrero" (intropiamedia).
